wet wet wednesday...

typhoon 21 is here! hitting kyushu today and it's gonna hit nagoya around 6am tomorrow... no worries, it'll only bring rain and strong winds occasionally... well, chui ean will be arriving at the fukuoka ariport in kyushu on the 3rd october... pray for a safe journey...

yesterday was mooncake festival huh? it rained the whole night... didnt get to see the moon though... grace is so so lucky to have her host parents giving her a whole box of mooncake... but not for me! mooncakes are known as "geppei" in japan! since the festival is of chinese origin, they dont celebrate it here lah! mooncakes are sold in departmental stores but it's really expensive... hahah! at least i had some at home before i took off... lotus paste, black sesame, without yolk please... arghh, you guys had the shanghai mooncake at home ah? oh well, no moonlit skies, no mooncake, no chinese tea... arghh... whatever... 8 more months to go!

went home a bit late yesterday, left around six and it was already dark... like 8pm in malaysia... well, walked to nagoya daigaku
station, got on the train... nagoya daigaku is the last station for the meijo line... sorede... there are plenty of empty seats lah... i told some of ya bout this... this guy who seemed to have lost his marbles sat right next to me... he stared at me... "stoned"... mummbled something in japanese... dont understand anyway... kept staring at me for quite some time... prayed hard that he would go away... instead, he moved closer!! in the end, i just stood up and walked away!! what an encounter... i think he's probably in his late 20s... weirdo!! had goose bumps... can still feel the chill down my spine even right now... girls, stay alert lah! was even ready to hit him if he starts doing anything stupid... was told that our elbows can come in really handy in handling such situations... pheww...

went grocery shopping AGAIN... at the osu area... this 'sanoya' supermarket, you can get really cheap stuff from here! like milk and coffee flavoured milk for 100yen each, margerine for 168yen, bread for 138yen, oh ya, bought a big bottle of orange juice for 150yen! oh ya, in japan, if you go to these supermarkets after 8pm, they will have discounted items and offers... especially processed food like bento set, onigiri sushi, bread and hamburger's meat patties... bought 2 for 200yen last night, was yummy, with potatoes and mayonnaise... served with lemonade... kiwi and apple for dessert... gizi seimbang haha!

oh ya, japanese girls would make lunch box, or bento, for their boyfriend each day... how cute! you can see them sharing a meal at the cafeteria during lunch time... nice lil lunch box, with chopstick and cute lil bag to carry... i get very excited every morning while preparing lunch box, for myself of course... hmm, what to cook... healthy and nutricious stuff... pack them into those cute lil containers, cute lil chopstick case, spoon & fork... lots of them available at the stores... pink hello kitty lunch box... snoopy... and when it is lunch time, i'll go collect it from my locker... "itadakimasu"... that's what you say before a meal, and "gochisoosamadeshita" after a meal!
